"The chemistry of words"

“The chemistry of words” is a competition organised by our subsidiary Zschimmer & Schwarz España. It is aimed at children and adolescents between the ages of 6 and 16. The idea behind the project is that writing a short story is supposed make them more receptive to science and help them overcome prejudices against chemistry.

Participants must submit a story inspired by the word “chemistry” that consists of a maximum of 50 words. These so-called “micro-stories” are particularly suitable in this context, as they are very similar to physical and chemical formulas due to their brevity and language experiments.

We are supported by the Valencian company Mundo Arti, which is responsible for organising and running the competition. A jury consisting of six volunteers from Zschimmer & Schwarz España will evaluate the submitted stories and then present the prizes to the winners.
