The foundation for child and youth welfare in São Leopoldo, Brazil, a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1996,looks after children and young people who find themselves in difficult situations due to neglect, mistreatment and/or sexual abuse.
The foundation has two facilities where 44 children and adolescents aged 0 to 18 are currently being cared for. The homes are open around the clock, and a team of trained educational and psychological specialists as well as social workers is available.
The children and adolescents are given the opportunity to attend school regularly. They can also take part in various courses and workshops, such as English or computer courses, cooking workshops as well as leisure and educational trips.
The donation will be used to finance food, school supplies and hygiene products, among other things.
