Barefoot College in Singla (state of Rajasthan, India) was founded in 2012 with the aim of providing children from disadvantaged population groups – for example migrant workers or the untouchable caste – with school education and vocational training.

Around 100 children are currently taught at the college every day. Particular attention is paid to ensuring that at least 50 percent of the students are female, as it is traditionally especially difficult for girls to receive a school education in Rajasthan.

The donation will be used to finance regular meals for the children, books, teaching and learning materials, teachers' salaries as well as the school's renovation and expansion needs.
