A successful debut: For the first time, Zschimmer & Schwarz GmbH & Co KG Chemische Fabriken in Lahnstein, Germany (ZSL), has undergone the independent and internationally recognized sustainability assessment by EcoVadis – with success. The result: Silver. This immediately places ZSL among the top 15 % of companies assessed worldwide last year.

A global benchmark for sustainability
EcoVadis is one of the leading providers of sustainability ratings. Companies are evaluated in the categories of Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. The fact that ZSL impressed across all categories and was directly awarded Silver shows that numerous small and large steps have firmly embedded sustainability in both daily business operations and the company’s philosophy.

Responsibility firmly anchored

EcoVadis in the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group 
In addition to ZSL, other companies within the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group have also undergone EcoVadis assessments. Zschimmer & Schwarz Interpolymer Sàrl (ZIF), France, was awarded a Gold medal in June 2025, placing it among the top 5 % of companies overall. In addition, Zschimmer & Schwarz Italiana S.p.A. (ZSI), Italy, won Silver in November 2024, and Zschimmer & Schwarz Mohsdorf GmbH & Co. KG (ZSM), Germany, received Bronze in September 2025. More subsidiaries are to follow.
