Zschimmer & Schwarz wins Digital Beauty Award for its digital portfolio navigator

Solutions Finder, awarded in the category “Best Digital Transformation by a Supplier Company” on June 4, 2026, accelerates access to ingredients and technical information within the beauty industry.

Zschimmer & Schwarz, a global supplier of chemical specialties and auxiliaries, with headquarters in Germany, has been recognized for the “Best Digital Transformation by a Supplier Company” at the Digital Beauty Awards 2026 thanks to Solutions Finder, a digital B2B platform developed together with its partner Covalo AG. At the award ceremony, the company group was represented by its Spanish subsidiary Zschimmer & Schwarz España, located in Vila-real.

The new application offers customers and interested parties an intuitive and comprehensive overview of the Zschimmer & Schwarz product portfolio. In addition to detailed product information, it quickly and efficiently helps users to find solutions that are perfectly tailored to their individual needs. Thus, it helps to streamline the work of formulators, laboratories, and R&D teams within the cosmetics industry. The product portfolio of the Personal Care Division of Zschimmer & Schwarz was the first to be launched, and the platform will be gradually expanded to include all seven business divisions.

Behind the launch of any skin care cream, serum, make-up, or hair care product, a complex technical process is carried out that often involves lengthy searches through catalogs, technical data sheets, samples, and exchanges between suppliers and laboratories. Finding the right ingredient, validating compatibility, or comparing alternatives remains, in many cases, a time-consuming process.

The increasing pace of product launches and reformulations within the cosmetics industry has turned the management of all this information into one of the main challenges for formulators and technical teams.

Solutions Finder was created precisely as a support tool to centralize and simplify access to technical information related to cosmetic ingredients. Designed as a kind of “guided journey,” it transforms a complex portfolio into a more intuitive and results-oriented experience.

The tool allows users to search for ingredients by INCI name, function, claims, or keywords, compare solutions, consult technical documentation, and request samples from a single digital environment.

The Solutions Finder supports clients and laboratories throughout the formulation development process, facilitating access to technical support, specialized knowledge, and tailored solutions from one digital environment.

“Innovation in cosmetics is advancing very quickly, but many internal processes remain slow or highly fragmented,” explains Carmina Alfonso, Director of Global Corporate Development  at Zschimmer & Schwarz. “Cosmetic development involves managing large volumes of technical information. With this tool, we aim to simplify and better organize the entire process.”

In addition to facilitating searches and technical consultations, Solutions Finder includes tools to save comparisons, access updated documentation, and contact specialized support from the same environment. The goal is to optimize formulation processes and support decision-making in a sector increasingly dealing with more references, stricter regulatory requirements, and faster development cycles.

By connecting technical data with intelligent filters, the platform addresses one of the industry’s major current needs: accessing information more quickly, clearly, and efficiently. Solutions Finder functions as a digital assistant available 24/7, allowing formulators and R&D teams to work more autonomously and efficiently.

For Zschimmer & Schwarz, this type of tool reflects a deeper shift within the chemical and cosmetics industry, where digitalization is beginning to gain importance in historically technical and less digitized areas.

“Digitalization has transformed many parts of the beauty industry value chain, especially marketing, ecommerce, and consumer engagement,” adds Carmina Alfonso. “However, there are still highly technical areas where digitalization is progressing more slowly. That is where we believe platforms like this can bring real value.”

The recognition received at the Digital Beauty Awards 2026 highlights precisely this progress in digitalization within the cosmetics sector. The awards, held on June 4 at Torre Glòries in Barcelona and organized by the Beauty Cluster, recognize the most innovative initiatives related to technology, digitalization, and innovation within the beauty industry.
