With a special event for employees, and an open day, Zschimmer & Schwarz is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Mohsdorf facility. Today, the anniversary is being marked by a celebratory reception for the staff. Tomorrow, on Saturday, between 10 am and 4 pm, interested visitors can then get a direct look into the production facilities and laboratories, and familiarise themselves, close-up, with the internal processes and research of this globally active chemical company.

Christian Bartsch, Managing Director of Zschimmer & Schwarz Mohsdorf, is looking forward to the visit from the neighbourhood: “As a family company with a rich tradition, we attach great importance to being an active part of the community. We would like to introduce ourselves to the people here, and invite them to get to know us and our work. The Mohsdorf location already holds very special significance for our company group, since here in Saxony is where Zschimmer & Schwarz was founded in 1894. So when we celebrate this location, we are celebrating our roots.”

On the occasion of the company’s 125th birthday in 2019, and in time for this location’s 25th anniversary, a multimedia-equipped sea-freight container is making a stop in Mohsdorf. With an interactive presentation about the company’s history and greetings from employees all over the world, the anniversary container will be sent on a year’s journey to ten locations in six countries, as an ambassador for Zschimmer & Schwarz, before returning to Germany next year, after having covered a distance of more than 26,000 kilometres.
