On the occasion of their successful 25-year collaboration, RIGK GmbH presented a certificate to the chemical company Zschimmer & Schwarz from Lahnstein during a small ceremony. For a quarter century, Zschimmer & Schwarz has been using the certified specialist company to recycle used plastic packaging so that it can be reused as valuable raw materials.

“We attach great importance to climate and environmental protection. Responsibility and sustainability are part of our vision,” explains Wolfgang Nowak, General Manager at Zschimmer & Schwarz. “That's why we are happy about our collaboration with RIGK at the Lahnstein site for such a long time, as it allows us to actively contribute to the preservation of this world so that it can be worth living in for our future generations. With RIGK, we have the right partner at our side to accomplish this task.” In 2017 alone, 39,628 kg of greenhouse gas emissions could be avoided at Zschimmer & Schwarz by returning the plastic packaging material for recycling. This corresponds to the carbon dioxide emissions captured by 2,856 trees in Europe every year. With additional partnerships for recycling of paper sacks and metal packaging, Zschimmer & Schwarz is also implementing other important measures to protect global resources. As a member of Responsible Care, the company is committed to continuous improvement of the environment as well as safety and health aspects. Furthermore, with the RSPO certification, it voluntarily exclusively uses sustainably grown palm oil.
