SYNTRAN® AC 2902 | Inherently matte self-crosslinking acrylic polymer | SYNTRAN® AC 2902 is an inherently matte polymer suitable with very low to medium gloss, high flexibility and stability while providing excellent adhesion to various substrate types. It forms a low gloss film without the additional use of waxes or powdered matting agents and gives a slightly soft touch to the surface. It is compatible with both organic and inorganic pigment pastes and can be used as a matting agent in ink formulations without affecting the colour of the ink. SYNTRAN® AC 2902 can be used as a single binder or in combination with other acrylic resins (e.g. SYNTRAN® AC 5917) or PUDs to create a silk matte appearance and also with isocyanates. More |
SYNTRAN® AC 1012 | Acrylic copolymer | SYNTRAN® AC 1012 is a hard, waterborne acrylic non-film-forming polymer for use as an additive (5-20%) in formulations to improve hardness, sandability and block resistance. It is 100% styrene free and will form a continuous film with the appropriate coalescent solvent level or drying temperature. Our SYNTRAN® AC 1012 is compliant to FDA CFR 175.105 and CFR 176.180 specifications for indirect food contact. SYNTRAN® AC 1012 is suitable for use in coatings and graphic arts applications. More |
SYNTRAN® AC 1110 | Acrylic copolymer | SYNTRAN® AC 1110 is a styrene-modified acrylic copolymer emulsion for rubber coatings, aqueous overprint varnishes as well as flexographic and gravure inks. Formulations containing SYNTRAN® AC 1110 can be adapted to the requirements of a variety of different applications. More |
SYNTRAN® AC 2901 | Inherently matte self-crosslinking acrylic polymer | Inherently matte acrylic polymer. This technology produces a film with low gloss, high flexibility and excellent stability while providing excellent adhesion to various substrate types. SYNTRAN® AC 2901 forms a low-gloss film without the additional use of waxes or powdered matting agents and gives a slightly soft touch to the surface. It is compatible with both organic and inorganic pigment pastes and can be used to produce matte formulations without affecting the colour of the ink or the substrate, providing a very natural, “non-coated” appearance of the substrate. It is recommended to fortify SYNTRAN® AC 2901 with another acrylic resin (like SYNTRAN® AC or SYNTRAN® AC 5917), isocyanates or PUD to improve the overall film properties. More |
SYNTRAN® AC 4101 | Cationic acrylic copolymer | SYNTRAN®AC 4101 is a water-based, cationic styrene-acrylic copolymer solution forming a receptive layer for water-based anionic inks. SYNTRAN® AC 4101 is recommended for stain-blocking paints and primers. It shows excellent performance in blocking wood and cork extractives, nicotine, graffiti, soot and water stains. SYNTRAN® AC 4101 is also recommended for the formulation of primer with excellent adhesion properties on critical substrates, such as metallized foild, glass, ceramic tiles, zinc, aged alkyd paints, etc. SYNTRAN® AC 4101 is recommended for interior use and the low MFFT allows the formulation of low-VOC formulations. SYNTRAN® AC 4102 | Cationic acrylic copolymer | SYNTRAN® AC 4102 is a water-based, cationic styrene-acrylic copolymer solution working as a receptive layer for water-based anionic inks. SYNTRAN® AC 4102 is recommended for stain-blocking paints and primers. It shows excellent performance in blocking wood and cork extractives, nicotine, graffiti, soot and water stains. SYNTRAN® AC 4102 is also recommended for the formulation of coatings with excellent adhesion properties on critical substrates, such as glass, ceramic tiles, zinc, aged alkyd paints, etc. Also, for paper/paperboard and labels. SYNTRAN® AC 4102 is recommended for interior use. More |
SYNTRAN® AC 5111 | Multiphase acrylic copolymer | SYNTRAN® AC 5111 is a styrene-acrylic non-film-forming polymer based on a multiphase technology free of alpha-methyl styrene. This is a proprietary process that combines two different types of polymers in the same polymer network. It allows a balanced combination of the different polymer properties and an overall improvement of the physical properties of both polymers. It is recommended to be used in combination with another resin such as SYNTRAN® AC 5112 or similar. More |
SYNTRAN® AC 5112 | Multiphase acrylic copolymer | SYNTRAN® AC 5112 is a styrene-acrylic polymer based on a multiphase technology. This is a proprietary process that combines two different types of polymers in the same polymer network. It allows a balanced combination of the different polymer properties and an overall improvement of the physical properties of both polymers. SYNTRAN® AC 5112 forms a film with high gloss, water resistance, rub resistance and printability with various types of inks. It also exhibits excellent adhesion to various substrates. More |
SYNTRAN® AC 5115 | Multiphase acrylic copolymer | SYNTRAN® AC 5115 is an acrylic polymer based on a multiphase technology. This is a proprietary process that combines two different types of polymers in the same polymer network. It allows a balanced combination of the different polymer properties and an overall improvement of the physical properties of both polymers. SYNTRAN® AC 5115 forms a film with very high gloss, blocking resistance and rub resistance. It also exhibits excellent adhesion to various substrates as well as good mixability with water-based alkyds. More |
SYNTRAN® AC 6045 | IPN acrylic polymer | SYNTRAN® AC 6045 is a styrene-acrylic polymer based on a patented interpenetrating network technology with film-forming properties. This technology combining two different ionic structures in the same polymer network increases the adhesion to multiple substrates with low surface tack and wood tannin blocking, stain blocking and dye blocking. This technology allows a formulator to take advantage of the good aspects of a cationic acrylic without the traditional compatibility issues. More |
