SYNTRAN® AC 5923 Self-crosslinking multiphase acrylic polymer SYNTRAN® AC 5923 is a surfactant-free, multiphase, self-crosslinking acrylic polymer with very fine particle size. It is clear in the can and provides excellent pigment wetting in pigmented coatings. Moreover, it shows excellent adhesion to metal, making it suitable for direct-to-metal (DTM) applications on non-ferrous metals. White pigmented coatings (industrial and decorative) formulated with SYNTRAN® AC 5923 show excellent stain resistance (red wine, coffee, mustard) and very good alcohol resistance. SYNTRAN® AC 5923 forms very hard and scratch-resistant but also flexible films with high to medium gloss and good sandability. It is suitable for interior and exterior applications and also a good combination partner for PUDs without impairment of the clarity of the PUDs. More
SYNTRAN® AC 5917 Self-crosslinking multiphase acrylic polymer SYNTRAN® AC 5917 is a surfactant-free, multiphase, self-crosslinking acrylic polymer. It has a very fine particle size and is clear in the can, in wet paint and the polymer film exhibits an excellent transparency even at high film thicknesses (400-500 µm wet film). SYNTRAN® AC 5917 is suitable for outdoor and indoor coatings with extremely low water absorption. It shows low foaming and is easy to formulate. SYNTRAN® AC 5917 is a good combination partner for hard acrylics to reduce the MFFT and for PUDs for exterior applications. More

SYNTRAN® AC 6130 IPN acrylic copolymer SYNTRAN® AC 6130 is a modified water-based acrylic copolymer that combines two different ionic structures in the same interpenetrating polymer network (IPN). This technology allows the formulator to take advantage of a cationic acrylic without the traditional compatibility issues as it can be formulated like a conventional anionic water-based acrylate.
This unusual combination provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of difficult substrates. Coatings formulated with SYNTRAN® AC 6130 consistently exhibit a lasting toughness and flexibility which provide a superior foundation for many of today’s advanced end products. More
