Dyed yarns are much easier to process if the natural lubricants (on cotton, for example) or primary finishes (on polyester or viscose, for example) lost in the dyeing process are replaced with effective wet lubricants. Depending on the use of the yarn, effects such as hydrophilic or hydrophobic properties or soft handle can be produced.
