Great events cast their shadows ahead: The chemicals company Zschimmer & Schwarz is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2019. To mark this occasion today, a very special ocean freight container was sent on its way from the head office in Lahnstein in the presence of the company’s management team. With a state-of-the-art multimedia presentation on board, the container will visit many international locations throughout the year as an emissary for the anniversary and the entire Zschimmer & Schwarz Group.

"We employ over 1,300 people in 15 countries. As an employer, we naturally want to involve as many of our employees as possible in our 125th anniversary celebrations. We therefore decided to travel directly to our locations through our anniversary container. The container makes our tradition as a family business, our values, our many business areas and our vision for the future tangible in an interactive way", says Dietmar Clausen, General Manager Finance at Zschimmer & Schwarz.

Dr. Martin Haberl, General Manager Sales & Marketing, adds: "Everyone who is part of our company is part of a very special story". The anniversary motto is "The mix that matters", and we want to bring this colourful mixture closer to everyone. Our focus is therefore clearly on togetherness: employees can receive messages from their colleagues from all over the world in the container, and also take their own photos to introduce themselves in person."

After a year of travel, ten stops in six countries and more than 26,000 kilometres, the anniversary container will return to Lahnstein in August 2019. There will be seven other containers waiting, which will present the individual Zschimmer & Schwarz business areas in all their diversity at a permanent exhibition in Lahnstein.
