On the occasion of the company's 125th anniversary in 2019, the globally active Zschimmer & Schwarz Group started a special charitable programme: all employees around the world were called upon to present regional projects that the company could support with a donation. On the initiative of Rosa Carda, employee of Zschimmer & Schwarz in Vila-real, Spain, the Asociación de Esclerodermia Castellón (ADEC) received a donation of 8,000 euros as part of this campaign.

The scleroderma association ADEC in the Spanish region of Castellón is committed, among other things, to raising awareness of the disease and thus improving health services and promoting research. The association offers a wide range of therapies and events to improve the quality of life of people with the disease, both physically and psychologically. With its donation, Zschimmer & Schwarz was able to support the work of ADEC, for example in participating in various conferences and campaigns and in holding workshops. "Despite the Corona pandemic, we were able to organise or participate in many events online," explains Juan Carlos González, president of ADEC. "We are grateful for the support of Zschimmer & Schwarz."

The Asociación de Esclerodermia Castellón is one of 14 organisations and charitable projects across Europe currently supported by Zschimmer & Schwarz with a total sum of around 200,000 euros. “For more than 125 years, our company has represented a philosophy that always puts people first”, explains Monika Börner, shareholder of the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group. “Therefore, we try to give something valuable back to society and involve ourselves in projects that deliver direct and sustainable effects at our business locations.”
