The Paints & Coatings Division presents individual coating formulations for a wide variety of surfaces.

At the European Coatings Show in Nuremberg, Germany, Zschimmer & Schwarz will present its comprehensive portfolio of waterborne acrylics for wood and other coating applications as well as innovative polymer technologies. A special highlight is an inherently matte acrylate polymer based on a proprietary process. After drying, a film with low gloss, high flexibility and excellent stability is formed. In addition, this technology offers excellent adhesion to different substrates.

Unlike conventional matting agents, the matte polymer offers excellent transparency, giving wood, for example, a "natural" look. It can be used as a single binder or in a blend, exhibits low foaming and has low VOC values. The incorporation of solid matting agents is no longer necessary – which greatly simplifies manufacture, provides significant cost benefits and ensures a more stable formulation.
